Salford Hall Hotel
Manor house on the border of Worcestershire and Warwickshire just of A46. Very good location for Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Broadway etc. Salford Hall Hotel is a great place to stay. It's a Grade I listed building (Tudor) and presently undergoing a modernization - They are building a new swimming pool and refurbishing all the bathrooms. Restaurant is award winning with one AA rosette, so it sure is a good place to stop for a couple of days. Salford Hall Hotel is a part of Best Western group, so you can expect good quality there.
Revpar of London hotels up by 37%
Revenue per available room (revpar) of London hotels is up 37% to nearly £110. That's the data according to The Bench hotel benchmarking service. Average occupancy is now over 80%. Pretty good if you are lucky enough to have a hotel in London. Outside of London it's the same old story.
Charlecote Pheasant Hotel
If we are talking about a good place to stay in the Stratford-Upon-Avon area there is no other hotel like Charlecote Pheasant. Recently refurbished - those guys have spent millions of pounds on rooms. Air-conditioning, swimming pool, beautiful grounds etc its all for you to enjoy at the Pheasant. Charlecote Park is just across the road - that's the place where Shakespeare was caught poaching the deer. Charlecote Pheasant Hotel is definitely recommended (see their trip advisor ratings)!
Marco Pierre White
Good news!
Marco Pierre White a Celebrity chef is opening two restaurants outside of London - on the Isle of Man and Jersey.
If you have never heard of Marco Pierre White, short recap - he is the first UK chef to get three Michelin stars. Good luck Marco! I hope Frankie’s (Italian grill bar) will be very successful.
